[NEWS LETTER] 2026.10 Ammonia Fume Management in Hair Color Manufacturing
view : 36

Background
Ammonia is commonly used in hair color manufacturing to control product pH and reaction conditions.
During raw material handling, weighing, charging, and mixing, ammonia gas can be released into the workplace,
potentially causing respiratory irritation and other health concerns.
Effective local gas purification and exposure control are essential to maintain a safer working environment.
GT SCIEN's Solution
GT SCIEN proposed a Toxic Gas Purifier equipped with a TOGA Filter designed for ammonia removal.
By positioning the purifier near the points where ammonia is generated,
the solution helps reduce local gas concentrations and improve workplace air quality.
In this case study, detector-tube measurements confirmed a reduction in ammonia concentrations
from 50 ppm to 10 ppm in the manufacturing area and from 50 ppm to 5 ppm at the raw material weighing point.
